Giving Hope To Basque Youth!
God is on the move!
Through the SUSA (Summer In The USA) program Basque students are given personal, professional, and spiritual hope. As they experience God’s love and follow Jesus, they're becoming catalysts for an emerging Basque church!
Over the past 15 years we’ve dedicated our lives to sharing the love and message of Jesus with Basque youth through the SUSA program. After a season of volunteering with SUSA and taking trips to the Basque Country we moved there in 2009 to run the field arm of the SUSA program and create follow up opportunities for the students. During our time there Leila and Miriam were born, we fell deeper in love with the Basque people and we saw God raise up local Basque believers who shared our passion and began partnering with SUSA. In 2013, we moved back to the States to serve as the SUSA area directors in Portland,
Oregon where Curren was born. During our time in Portland we developed wonderful friendships with host families and churches who have become a vital part of the mission.
In 2017 our family relocated to San Diego where Chris grew up and Megan did her graduate studies. We partner with churches across the USA to continue growing the mission through local churches. Chris and Megan also take regular trips to the Basque Country in order to grow and develop the field side of the mission in partnership with our Basque staff and other believers in the Basque Country.
Your involvement is vital to this mission!
Although the students pay a fee to participate in the SUSA program, those funds don't cover the operating costs of the SUSA mission. As full-time staff, we depend in large part on the financial support of donors for our income and must personally raise those funds.
